So this is going to be a very long winded blog of emotion, I will not lie. Organising this charity stream was a lot harder than I ever imagined it would be. It took two weeks of my life, organising, emailing, cleaning, preparing, testing, screaming and much more to finally manage to pull of streaming live for 30 straight hours.
Overall the final product was incredibly successful. We had some minor glitches but everyone was always supportful, laid back and quite simply fun. Everyone watching made the stream so easy to do.
However, even though I did a lot of hard work, this is true, it wasn’t all me and I think it is very important I acknowledge and thank everyone for that.
American Pizza Slice - Thank you so much for making and delivering 3 HUGE pizzas to my door. Honestly, those cheesy carbs got us through some very tough times.
Wrong Festival - Thank you so much for donating two tickets to your event! Your festival looked amazing and I was sulking I could not win them myself.
Fairy Fountain Gifts - Thank you for not only directly donating but donated a whopping £50 store credit for one lucky winner. I have personally bought and worn your products and know how amazing they are.
Sharky Band Tees - thank you for not only donating, but extending your prize of not T-shirt, but two! Your shirts and choices are amazing and I know there are two very happy winners right now.
My guests (in order of appearance)
Mark Mallouk - Thank you so much for taking the time out of your busy schedule to sit down and talk to us. You had a house full of family but you were thinking of someone elses family in need at the moment.
Jonti Sparrow - Thank you for providing much needed comedy on my stream by teaching me how to play minecraft. I’m sorry if I have made you go grey early.
Impropriety - Thank you for not only donating money, improv tickets but also organising so many people to come round and show off your incredible improv talents. It was hilarious.
Jollyboat - Thank you so much for coming round and not only entertaining us with old classics but treating our ears to some new and upcoming songs. I have watched your perform a handful of times but I don’t think anything will ever top the energy you provided in my living room whilst helping out a sick little girl.
Nana Funk - Thank you nana for your incredible life advice. Your commitment to how you live your life is something we should all take note of.
Mark Meer - Thank you for not only taking your time out, but how you so easily gave it. I sent you a message hours before the stream and you were so willing and ready. You made us all a little star struck and I am so grateful you could be apart of this.
Andrew Coulson - Thank you for not only donating directly, but also donated a gift too. We took it old school and played some of the first games we ever played on YouTube and everybody was so excited to play. You have always been so comfortable on camera and you have a natural gift of entertaining people with your creative games that you came up with. Thank you.
Fia Harrington - Everything about you is sunshine. Your attitude, personality look and talent. You blew people away with your singing and have left people only wanting more. You took your time out and helped out my stream even though you had already performed at another gig. Thank you so much.
Andi Ewington - Where do I even begin to thank you. Thank you for making such amazing comics. Thank you for being such an approachable person. Thank you for helping me out with the testing on the streams and entertaining the viewers whilst I could not talk. Thank you for being on the charity stream in the first place. Thank you for donating gifts and posting them out before I’ve even packaged mine. Thank you for going above and beyond and getting people you knew to come on the stream. You are one of the most talented, caring, down to earth people I know and I feel a simple thank you is not good enough, but seriously, thank you.
Aaron Hayes - As a magician you rarely get a weekend off. As a father, your free weekends must be sacred. Thank you for driving out of your way to help another little girl. Your magic blew my mind and I am very confident the audience can say the same.
Chris Allan - Thank you so much for staying up late with me during the toughest hours of the stream. You entertained everyone allowing me to play your old but still genius videos. You are far too humble to see just how talented you are.
Ally Goodman - Thank you so much for coming on the stream with us and talking about your acting skills but also a bigger thank you. Thank you for helping getting the word out about the stream, thank you for putting so much of your time and effort into securing us food and more prizes. Your selflessness was amazing and I am forever grateful.
Mark Sanger - To say the stream had someone on who had won an oscar is an honour in itself. Thank you so much for taking the time out of your very busy schedule and chatting with me and the audience. You were inspiring to talk to.
Howy Bratherton - Where do I even begin to thank you. You were such a delight to have on the show. Your charisma shone through whilst giving out tips and advise to being an actor. You not only donated directly but you also took your time out to come on the stream and entertain us.
Mark Smith - You have recently been faced with your own personal difficulties and yet you still found time to travel all the way over to our place and help us out the stream. You Kept the conversation flowing in my darkest hours whilst I truly struggled to keep my eyes open. You donated prizes and I am just thankful for you being apart of it all. Thank you.
Rob Cohen - For one of the first times I got a little star struck interviewing you. Thank you so much for taking your time out from such a hectic schedule and chat to me. You seemed to truly care about the cause and was so open and honest in every answer. Thank you.
Jon Sharky - I have already thanked you for the shirts, but now to thank you for your time. You not only donated items to the give away and money to the cause but you also gave your time to come over and entertain us with interesting facts and funny stories. You carried the last hour of the stream whilst I finally found some energy to give away the remaining prizes and I beyond grateful.
Andrew Robinson - Simply put, the stream would not have happened if it wasn't for you. You let me use your computer, you set up all the tech for it. You allowed me to do the stream considering I am not the only one in the that flat and you tried to support me as much as you possibly could. From letting people in, doing coffee runs and trying to stay up late with me. The entire stream happened, because of you.
Michael Garrity - Thank you so much for donating so many amazing items. You directly donated a lot of money but also gave up some of your prizes possessions. That is an incredibly selfless act.
SaikoPic - You almost broke me whilst I was live streaming. You made a survival box for me to open during the stream. It had everything in it. Energy drinks, sugary snacks, halls, tissues, chapstick, refreshing tea, relaxing tea, face masks, food and everything else. Including a letter explaining how you had noticed I was doing all of these selfless acts and not thinking about myself. Thank you. So much. That kind gesture will stay in my heart forever.
And a big thank you to all who donated
It is all well and good streaming for 30 hours with all the best guests but it would have all been for nothing if we had raised no money. You all took the time out of your busy lives and did a selfless act of helping another family out. Thats incredible.
Thank you to each and every one of you who donated. From the bottom of my heart.
