A couple of weeks ago, me and fellow youtuber Mark Smith, AKA, Airlim.
It wasn't the first day out video blog ive ever done with a fellow youtuber, but its still a surreal and slightly awkward experience for me filming outside, looking like a silly billy talking to a camera. Im getting more comfortable (because I have to) with it all the time, but I have to say, it does help having someone else there looking more stupid than you :P THANKS MARK!
But yeah, I had a great day visiting all the museums I have grown up visiting and even including a new one! Although you cant really tell, I drank far too much coffee and actually felt a little sick by the end of the day... oops!
As I have often explained to anyone who will listen to me, I love days out. I adore being active and loathe sitting still. However one thing that constantly stands in my way is finance. Days out can add up, activities and venues can be expensive. When taking in the cost, the food, the entrance and any other additional features that may occur it’s easy to open your purse and find little left.
On this particular day (quite a while ago now actually) I visited the Birkenhead Priory. It wasn’t the first time I visited but I enjoyed it just as much as the first and I hope you enjoy it too!
The friendly staff greeted us warmly and explained the museum was an admission fee of £3.95 per person. We did not mind paying this and certainly got value for money. From the second you walk in, the museum is lush and full of historic stories, artifacts and activities. It is small venue and you could walk in and out within 3 minutes. However, if you read every single thing that was there you would easily be entertained for at least an hour. There was also a 20 minute documentary video that played on loop that was incredibly informative.
tea and cake
After walking around and taking in so many beautiful sights, we decided we needed supplies. The tudor style tea room out side the train station looked perfect and besides the fact we were sitting in the window seat which was cooking us alive, the food was tasty and was the perfect way to end a visit to one of my favourite places.
Port sunlight is so vibrant, peaceful and just simply beautiful. Everyone needs to experience the beauty of it.
The video will be uploaded to Youtube in the near future :)
